band , is...a daft idea I had about using my Sony©
PlayStation©
to write eccentric soundtrack music for 16mm films. Evocative,
otherworldly and naive; Contrasting sounds and unsettling rhythms
were my aims. In 2000, My friend G.G thought the application of the
Sony©
Playstation©
for emulation of 'Germanic Metal/Pop/Rock' was hilarious and another friend, MsFiz,
with little room at home, found it an interesting learning tool for
drumming...
After running out of room on the Sony©
MemoryCard(©, I think) I put it on a CD, and thus TeenageLand was born.
No-one stopped us from loading it onto
WWW.MP3.com.au/teenageland and we have haunted the 6th
to 87th
rankings of the "Experimental Electronica Band Charts" for the last
seven years... The Sony©
Playstation©
fell from grace and the the whole thing became the "MTV©
Music Generator©" and I got lost playing Colin McRae Rally 2005©
and learning GTKradiant for a while. TeenageLand plan a new album
this year entitled "Dirt Fever" but I got plenty on my plate...
