( If I were a ) Carpenter
Escape from New York directed by John Carpenter was brought to mind by
the steamy pile of media shenanigans/ trite sentimentality/mindless
hypocrisy that Australians were subjected to when New York (and to a
less extent, the USA) panicked and wonderful, loved family members and
friends died in the World Trade Center tragedy. |
Gary, Felice and I are dedicated fans of the works of John
Carpenter, the film director. Our favourites are the Escape
from...'s, Vampires and Dark Star. If you are reading there, Mr
Carpenter, please make more movies and play more slide guitar. Gary
says please don't make another 'Halloween' but What would he
know. (P.S. Why Rowdy Roddy Piper?)
TeenageLand sent it's regrets to all those hurt by the WTC tragedy
and it's consequences.
